Hellen Ward, hairdresser, businesswoman and now author!

Posted by admin on Jan 27, 2012 in News, Press statement

On Tuesday 24th January 2012, Hellen launched her series of three books for salon and spa managers looking to improve their management skills. The books, published by City & Guilds, cover topics like managing teams, recruitment, understanding finances and building customer loyalty.

Watched on by the great and the good of British hairdressing, Hellen and Gill Pope, Education Director for L’Oreal Professional Products, were interviewed by Diane Mitchell, City & Guilds Portfolio Manager for Hairdressing. Hellen explained how important she thinks it is for the industry to increase its business acumen, invest in staff and focus on customers. The interview was followed by questions from the floor, which included journalists from all the leading industry publications.

Hellen donated all proceeds from the night, more than £700, to HairRaising for Great Ormond Street — a cause close to her and Richard’s hearts. A raffle for HABB (Hair & Beauty Benevolent) also raised much needed funds for a wonderful cause.

The USM books are on sale now.
